The Makita DHR243RJT is a 3-mode, high-performance cordless combination hammer drill. It would be used mainly by trade professionals. This drill can be used in Rotation and hammering, Hammering only and rotation only. The rotary hammer is for masonry drilling, hammer only for masonry chiselling and rotary only for drilling wood and steel. It provides a sure and comfortable grip in any operation; overhead application, drilling with palm-up or palm-down grip. The front SDS chuck is removable by simply twisting and pulling off the machine and can then be converted to a 3 jaw keyless chuck machine compatible with a standard straight shank drill bit for non-hammer, rotary only action. The brushless DC motor reduces energy loss by 30% giving longer battery run time and saves maintenance.
