Robert Sorby 5510 Gilt Edge , Boxwood handle Set 5 E5105ST
Features
Bevel edge chisels are the most versatile and universally used of all bench chisels and should form an integral part of any woodworker's toolkit.
They can be used either free-hand making a gentle paring cut or with light mallet strokes. Side bevels reduce the risk of binding in the cut as well as allowing access to undercuts, like dovetails. Not recommended for heavy duty applications. These bevel edge chisels have an elegant gilt edge tapered bolster and ferrule. Each chisel has a 25° primary bevel and a 30° for secondary bevel to easily allow or the cutting of harder woods. For soft woods such as pine woodworkers might want to re-profile to 20° for the primary and 25° for the secondary bevels. Very hard woods such as oak might require a steeper profile (30° for primary bevel and 35° for a secondary bevel). This set is also available in a robust beech plywood presentation boxes.
Set contains one each of 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", 1".
