The Makita DJV181Z LXT 18v Jigsaw Bare Unit is an impressive tool with a brushless motor and an enhanced dust extraction hose joint. The aluminium base is rigid and bevels from 0 to 45 degrees, both left and right. The blade can be changed without the need for tools, and the lever offers three orbital settings and straight cutting. The Soft No Load function works to reduce the motor speed automatically when idling to suppress vibrations issuing from the body of the machine.
