The Makita Clamp is used in combination with the Makita plunge Circular Saw and one of the Makita Guide Rails. These clamps would be used by all trade professionals and all home DIY users. The clamp is designed to hold the guide rail in place, this in turn ensures the saw can run down the guide rail and deliver a smooth accurate cut. When used together you get a more portable option to a table saw, for ripping sheet material.
